1. Two day hospital stay
2. Start with a walker and progress to a cane in 1 to 2 weeks after surgery.
Pre -Op
3. Able to weight bear as tolerated and do stairs at home.
4. Physical therapy 3 times a week for the first 3 weeks.
5. By 3 weeks you may be off pain pills.
6. By 3 weeks you may be ready to do therapy on your own at home.
Post - Op
7. Return to work by 3 to 6 weeks after surgery.
8. Resume normal activities by 2 to 3 months from surgery but avoid running and jumping.
