Hip Testimonials
"After interviewing many othropedic doctors and researching as much as I could about total hip replacements, I went to Dr Kelly's lecture on the procedure. After an accident that caused severe damage to my hip at a young age I was looking for a doctor who used Ceramic Hips which my research indicated would have a higher likelihood of lasting longer. I was immediately put at ease with Dr Kelly and was impressed with his interaction with his audience. I decided to have Dr Kelly do my total hip replacement after asking a myriad of questions at our first appointment. He was generous with his time and never made me feel hurried in making such an important decision. He welcomed my research as I gave input into what I wanted, if possible, once he was doing the surgery. I felt a part of the decision and knew he cared that we met every expectation which he very adeptly performed. Another aspect that caused me to choose Dr Kelly is the expectation for recovery in the Joint Camp. I wanted to be certain that I knew everything I needed to in order to heal properly. The staff there was wonderful and the experience gave me the confidence to head for home after only three and a half days in the hospital. I am one year out from my surgery and am thankful everyday to Dr Kelly for my pain free life."

"Facing the prospect of any type of surgery is scary. The thought of having an entire joint replaced is intimidating. I am 67 years old and had a partial mastectomy, with negative follow-ups for over a year when I began to experience pain in my left hip. A bone scan proved negative for cancer, however, the hip was serverly damaged from arthritis.

My oncologist insisted that I see Dr. Kelly. It was the best referral I ever had, notwithstanding the recommendations of two of my closests friends for whom Dr. Kelly had done knee surgeries. Dr. Kelly recommended total hip replacement with a ceramic joint. He said that a ceramic hip was the best type of implant for me.

The Alegent / Bergan Joint Replacement Center and Dr. Kelly's team were, to say the least, OUTSTANDING! They were very organized, efficient, sensitive and caring. Everyone and everything were synchronized, nothing was left unanswered, unattended or undone. At Joint Camp, we patients were gently but firmly urged to move and manipulate the affected joint so that recovery would be shorter, without compromising any health issues. In retrospect, I did not realize how much pain I had been suffering for all that time. But the best part of this whole experience is the fact that I no longer have any pain, and that I am able to do things that I haven't been able to do for well over a year.

I am the HAPPY JOINT REPLACEMENT CAMPER!
